Ask what a follow-up stool test will check
Testing depends on the concern and the parasite involved.
A routine parasite product does not cover every cause of diarrhea. Ask about stool testing for a newly adopted or young cat, persistent digestive signs, or follow-up of a known infection.
Confirm what the test is looking for and when it should be repeated. Follow the clinic’s collection and storage instructions. Let the veterinarian interpret the result before changing treatment.
