A carrier that feels familiar
Choose a safe carrier and introduce it in small, rewarding steps.
Choose a well-ventilated carrier with a secure latch and enough room for your pet to stand, turn, and lie comfortably. Check transport-provider requirements before travel.
Leave the carrier open at home with familiar bedding. Reward voluntary exploration, then practise brief door closures and short journeys as your pet becomes comfortable. Secure the carrier in the vehicle and keep the temperature comfortable.
